  • Every Child is a Unique Individual

We recognise the importance of children developing a sense of belonging to the Preschool community. We support children to feel comfortable and secure within our learning environment so they can become active and independent learners, who are eager to play, express themselves, explore and experiment.

  • A Culturally Familiar Environment

We create a ‘homelike’ environment for our children. We work closely with our families and community to reflect the unique cultural heritage and identity of each child.

  • Learning Through Play

We support the National Early Years Learning Framework approach to curriculum and provide a play-based program that develops the child’s unique interests, talents, and abilities. We encourage every child’s independence, and ability to make choices. Our play-based curriculum aims to promote critical and creative thinking, problem solving and independent thought. Our Teachers and Educators support every child to develop the necessary social and emotional skills that promote lifelong learning.

  • Qualified and Experienced Teachers and Educators

Our Teachers and Educators are professionally qualified and experienced. Every team member is warm and responsive to your child’s personality, learning needs and unique interests. We consult with the children about the play experiences they are provided and incorporate these ideas into the learning program.

  • Commitment to Sustainability

As a preschool community we are committed to implementing sustainable practices that care for our world. We work closely with our children, families, and community to work and play as sustainable as possible. We take pride in caring for our environment and actively look for ways to reduce, reuse and recycle our resources.

  • Committed to Family and Community Well-Being

Koorana Preschools acknowledge that families are the most important people in their child’s life. We encourage all our families to play an active part in the Preschool community and work closely with parents to support cultural beliefs, heritage, and customs. Family opinions are always respected. We support children’s connections to our shared community by participating in community events where possible.

  • Commitment to First Nations Communities

At Koorana Preschools, we acknowledge the traditional custodians of the land on which we operate, the Darug and Eora people. We acknowledge that these lands were never ceded. We are committed to promoting awareness of Aboriginal culture and practice within our Preschools.
