We Envisage Better Outcomes for Children and Families in Need

Koorana is actively involved in creating a supportive set of services and supports for children and families in need.

Our activities in this area include:

1. Development of our unique inclusive education model – this model has been developed by a team of transdisciplinary professionals. We are documenting our learnings from the last five years of implementation, evidencing these outcomes and creating a model which can be shared with other schools to help them promote inclusion in action.
2. Sector advocacy – we are actively working to advocate for supports for children and families to fill gaps and needs that are not currently met. We want to ensure that the service system meets families needs and is aligned to best practices in early childhood supports. This is done through our work with the Child and Family Supports Alliance and the Early Childhood Intervention Best Practice Network.
