Early Education Parenting Workshop
Koorana are offering a free program for parents on the benefits of early childhood education for development.
The workshops are facilitated by a specialist teacher and a social worker. Each session includes guest speakers from a range of child and family services.
SESSION 1: Welcome and an introduction to children's development

SESSION 2: Understanding your child’s needs, emotions and behaviour

SESSION 3: Brain development and the importance of playing with your child in their first 1,000 days of life

SESSION 4: Normal language development for children aged 0-5 years.

SESSION 5: Expected abilities for children aged 0-5 years.

SESSION 6: Benefits of attending preschool and/or child care before going to school. Barriers in accessing early childhood education

SESSION 8: Where to go from here - Navigating the services including useful links and resources
Morning tea is provided. Interpreters and child minding is available.
The program commences Monday 29 July, and runs every week from 9:30AM - 11:30AM at Rotary Community Centre, 34 North Parade, Campsie.
