Preschool
Koorana has two Preschools in the Lakemba area for children aged 3 and over. Both provide a quality program that is based on children’s strengths and interests. Educational play activities help children develop their language, physical, social, emotional and thinking skills. Most children attend for either two or three days a week, from 9.30 am to 3.30 pm during school terms. More

Playgroups
Koorana runs 10 playgroups each week, across the Canterbury and Bankstown areas. The Playgroups provide fun learning activities for babies, toddlers and young children. Parents and carers can meet and share information and ideas in a relaxed and friendly environment.

Each playgroup is staffed by an Early Childhood Educator and a Family Worker. There is no cost to families. More

Early Childhood Intervention
Koorana offers services to families who have a young child with a developmental delay or disability. There are centre-based and home-based options, staffed by Special Educators and Therapists. All programs aim to work in partnership with families to deliver programs that suit each child’s strengths and needs, and each family’s concerns and priorities. More

Family Services
Koorana’s Family Workers are available to support families and staff in a range of ways, including providing information, assisting with transition to school, liaising with other agencies and organising meetings and informal
get-togethers. A support group for parents of children with additional needs meets regularly.

Koorana’s Case Management team work with families across the Inner West who have a child with additional needs, aged up to 18 years. This team assists families to plan for themselves and their child and to access the services they need. More
