1. Applications submitted
When you apply for a role, you must ensure the following documentation is included with your application:
Cover Letter: Your cover letter should clearly indicate the position you are applying for, provide an outline of your qualifications and experience and address all of the selection criteria as outlined in the job description.
Resume: A current, brief resume including your contact details; work history; education, training and qualifications. You should also include the contact details of at least two professional referees.
Original Certificates: Please DO NOT send any original certificates, transcripts or references with your original application.
At the conclusion of the application period a selection committee will meet to select a short list of applicants, based on the selection criteria, to attend an interview.
Interviews for all Koorana positions are undertaken at Koorana's head office in Belmore. The interview panel generally comprises two or more people, including the manager responsible for the advertised position.
4. Reference checks
Koorana undertakes reference check for all successful applicants. A professional referee should be someone with whom you have worked closely or a previous supervisor/manager.
5. Working with Children Check
A Working with Children background check is required for all Koorana staff. It is the responsibility of all successful applicants to ensure they have a current Working with Children check verification number. They must provide the number prior to commencement of employment with Koorana.
6. Offer of employment
The successful applicant will be notified verbally prior to a formal written offer of employment being sent.
7. Unsuccessful applicants
Unsuccessful applicants who have attended an interview will be notified by email.
